Circl is a location sharing app for the people closest to you. You create a space, invite the people you want in it, and everyone in that space can see where the others are. Nothing is visible outside it.
There is no feed, no follower count, no public profile and no discovery. You cannot search for somebody, and nobody can request to join your space. Somebody already inside has to give you the code.
Save the places that matter and the space can be told when somebody arrives or leaves. Pin photographs and notes to those places. Beyond that Circl stays out of the way, with quiet hours each night and nothing to scroll.
Pause sharing for an hour, for three, or until you turn it back on. Mark a place quiet and it never announces you. Ask for a copy of your data, or delete your account and everything in it. More on privacy.
